When your hands are clean and dry, double-check that all your equipment is within its expiration date and that nothing looks damaged or out of the ordinary, such as discolouration or particles in any substance. If everything looks good, you can prepare the vial for injection.

When using Testosterone Cypionate, it’s essential to follow proper injection practices to ensure both your safety and the effectiveness of your treatment. Always use a different injection site with each dose to minimise the risk of irritation or complications.

After administering your dose, make sure to dispose of the used needles in the provided sharps bin to maintain a safe and clean environment.

Never use a needle that has been dropped, damaged, contaminated, or previously used. Ensuring your injection equipment is sterile and in good condition is crucial for your safety.

It’s important to store the vial in a cool and dry place, out of reach of children.

While testosterone is generally well-tolerated, be aware of serious side effects like blood clots. Symptoms may include sudden leg pain or swelling, unexplained shortness of breath, chest pain, or a rapid heartbeat. If you experience any of these, stop taking your medication and seek immediate medical attention. Report any concerning symptoms to your clinician to ensure your safety during treatment.

Regular monitoring is key to keeping your treatment safe. Attend all follow-up blood tests at 1, 4, 7, and 12 months to track your biomarkers and ensure your levels remain in a safe range. These tests, included in the programme cost, can be easily booked online. Completing the symptom (AMS) questionnaire at the same intervals also helps us monitor your progress. Since testosterone can affect blood pressure, we’ll monitor this regularly to ensure your treatment is effective.

It’s important to remember that treatment may take between 3 and 6 months to show its full effects. During this period, your doctor may monitor your testosterone levels and adjust the dosage as necessary.
