Kyzatrex Safety Information
Updated over a week ago

What is Kyzatrex?

Kyzatrex is an oral testosterone replacement therapy used to treat men with low testosterone levels. It is taken twice daily with food to help restore normal testosterone levels and alleviate symptoms such as low energy, reduced libido, and decreased muscle mass. Consistent use as prescribed by a healthcare provider is essential to maintaining stable hormone levels.

How do I use Kyzatrex?

Kyzatrex is an oral testosterone treatment that should be taken twice daily with meals or as directed by your healthcare provider. It’s essential to always take Kyzatrex with food to ensure proper absorption and effectiveness. Adhere to your prescribed dosage and never adjust it without consulting one of our clinicians. Regularly monitor your progress and promptly report any side effects you may experience.

For Best Results

To maximise the benefits of Kyzatrex, take it as prescribed and always with food. Do not stop your treatment abruptly, as this can lead to unwanted side effects. It’s also crucial to report any changes in your health to your clinician immediately to ensure your ongoing safety.

What side effects can be caused by Kyzatrex?

While Kyzatrex is generally well-tolerated, be aware of serious side effects such as the risk of blood clots. Symptoms of blood clots may include sudden leg pain or swelling, unexplained shortness of breath, chest pain, or a rapid heartbeat. If you notice any of these symptoms, stop taking Kyzatrex immediately and seek urgent medical attention. Report any concerning symptoms to your clinician to ensure your safety during treatment.

What follow-up is needed to continue taking treatment safely?

The Importance of Regular Monitoring

Regular monitoring is essential for maintaining the safety and effectiveness of your treatment. It’s crucial to attend all follow-up blood tests at 1, 4, 7, and 12 months to track your biomarkers and ensure your levels remain within a safe range. These tests are included in the programme cost and can be easily booked online. Additionally, you should complete the symptom (AMS) questionnaire at these same intervals to help us monitor your progress. Since Kyzatrex can affect blood pressure, we will also monitor this regularly to ensure the treatment is working effectively.

It’s important to remember that treatment may take between 3 and 6 months to show its full effects. During this period, your doctor may monitor your testosterone levels and adjust the dosage as necessary.

Timing of Blood Tests

Remember to take your blood test 3 to 5 hours after your morning dose, ensuring that you do not take the afternoon dose until you’ve had your bloods taken. This helps ensure that the test results accurately reflect your baseline hormone levels, providing your healthcare provider with the necessary information to manage your treatment effectively.
