If you take too much Vitamin D3 with K2 Supplement

Vitamin D3 with K2 contains vitamin D. Taking too much vitamin D may lead to vitamin D toxicity. Vitamin D toxicity is very rare and only occurs with excessive vitamin D supplementation.

The daily upper limit for vitamin D supplementation is 4,000 IU. One tablet of Vitamin D3 with K2 contains 4000 IU vitamin D, please do not exceed the recommended dosage or take any additional vitamin D supplements while using this supplement.

However, if you do take too much vitamin D, signs of toxicity include:

  • Nausea

  • Vomiting

  • Poor appetite

  • Constipation

  • Weakness

  • Weight loss

Too much vitamin D can also raise blood calcium levels, which may cause confusion, disorientation, and problems with heart rhythm.

Vitamin D3 with K2 contains vitamin K2 (Menaquinone-7). Toxicity of vitamin K is rare and only occurs with excessive supplementation.

The NHS recommends taking no more than 1mg (1,000μg) each day. One tablet of Vitamin D3 with K2 contains 110μg of vitamin K, which means it’s highly unlikely to cause vitamin K toxicity if taken correctly.

Taking Vitamin D3 with K2 with other medicines

Certain dietary supplements can interact with medications, which may lead to reduced medication effectiveness or adverse effects. Talk to your doctor about taking a dietary supplement to ensure it is safe for you to take and doesn’t interact with any medication (prescription or otherwise) you are taking.

If you are taking anticoagulants (blood thinners) do not take this product except on the advice of a doctor.

Like most dietary supplements, vitamin D may interact or interfere with other medicines or supplements you might be taking. Some examples include:

  • Prednisone and other corticosteroid medicines to reduce inflammation

  • Orlistat (weight-loss drug) and cholestyramine (cholesterol-lowering drug)

  • Phenobarbital and Phenytoin (drugs used to control epileptic seizures)

Talk to your doctor about taking a dietary supplement to ensure it is safe for you to take and doesn’t interact with any medication (prescription or otherwise) you are taking.
