If you take too much Vitamin B12 Supplement

Taking too much vitamin B12 may lead to vitamin B12 toxicity. Vitamin B12 toxicity is very rare and only occurs with excessive supplementation.

The NHS recommends taking no more than 2mg (2,000μg) each day. One tablet of Vitamin B12 contains 1mg (1,000μg) of vitamin B12, which means it’s highly unlikely to cause toxicity or harm if taken correctly.

Taking Vitamin B12 with other medicines

Certain dietary supplements can interact with medications, which may lead to reduced medication effectiveness or adverse effects. Talk to your doctor about taking a dietary supplement to ensure it is safe for you to take and doesn’t interact with any medication (prescription or otherwise) you are taking.
