Monitoring blood test: preparation guide

Follow these steps to ensure your results are accurate and reliable.


1. Stay well hydrated

Drink plenty of water the night before and on the morning of your test. This helps improve blood flow, making it easier to collect your sample and reducing the risk of clotting.


2. Schedule your appointment for the correct time

Timings vary per medication type, so please make sure to follow the guidance below:

Kyzatrex

Test 3-5 hours after your morning dose

Do not take the afternoon dose until you have had your blood drawn first

Testogel

Test at least 4 hours after your morning application, using the arm opposite to where the gel was applied

Cypionate

Test on an injection day (Mon/Wed/Fri)

Do not inject until you have had your blood test

Clomid (monotherapy)

Test any day between 7-11am

hCG (monotherapy)

Test on the day of your injection, between 7-11am

Do not inject until you have had your blood test
