Wegovy
As of April 2026, Wegovy no longer requires cold-chain delivery in the UK. The MHRA has approved updated product information confirming that Wegovy can be transported at temperatures up to 30°C for up to 48 hours. The medication itself hasn't changed, only the delivery rules have. Please note that during periods of warmer weather in the UK, we may still choose to send Wegovy with chilled packaging as an extra precaution.
Once your delivery arrives, put your unopened pen(s) in the fridge (between 2°C and 8°C) as soon as possible, and keep them away from the cooling element at the back. Alternatively, you can store unopened pens at room temperature (below 30°C) for up to 28 days before first use.
Do not freeze, and do not use a pen if it has been frozen (even if it looks fine after thawing).
After the pen has been used, you can either continue to store it in the fridge or keep it in a protected dark environment below 30°C. Use within 6 weeks of first use.
Mounjaro
Mounjaro still requires cold-chain delivery, so your Mounjaro orders will continue to arrive with cool packaging as usual.
Before its first use, it should be kept in a fridge and away from the cooling element. Do not freeze and do not use it if it is frozen.
After the pen has been used, you can either continue to store it in the fridge or in a protected dark environment less than 30°C.
In the unlikely event that the pen has not been stored in a fridge before first use, it will still be suitable to use provided the temperature where it has been stored is less than 30°C. The pen should be disposed of 30 days after removal from fridge storage, or if the expiry date has passed.
FAQs
Why didn't I receive an ice pack with my Wegovy order?
If your Wegovy order arrived without an ice pack or cool packaging, don't worry, this is intentional and your medication is still safe and effective. In April 2026, the MHRA approved an update to the product information for Wegovy® (semaglutide) FlexTouch® pens, allowing delivery at temperatures up to 30°C for up to 48 hours. This makes Wegovy the first GLP-1 weight management treatment in the UK to be approved for delivery without strict cold-chain requirements.
That said, during periods of warmer weather in the UK we may still send your Wegovy with chilled packaging as an added precaution, so don't be surprised if an ice pack turns up in summer months.
This change doesn't apply to Mounjaro, those orders will continue to arrive with cool packaging year-round.
My injection pens aren't cold any more, can I still use them? If so how long will they last?
Wegovy: Your pen is designed to be delivered without cold-chain packaging and can withstand temperatures up to 30°C for up to 48 hours in transit. Once it arrives, store it in the fridge as soon as possible, or keep it at room temperature (below 30°C) for up to 28 days before first use.
Mounjaro: Mounjaro is kept in cold storage throughout the supply chain and delivered using cold-chain packaging. In the unlikely event that your Mounjaro pen has not been stored in a fridge before first use, it will still be suitable to use for up to 30 days after the date of dispatch, provided it's been kept below 30°C.

Do I have to store my injection pens in the fridge? How long can I keep them in there?
Your unopened pen will remain safe to use when stored in the fridge until the expiry date. Once opened:
Wegovy should not be used more than 6 weeks after the date of first use
Mounjaro should not be used more than 30 days after the date of first use
My injection pens have been at my neighbours for a few days, can I still use them?
Wegovy: Provided the pen has been kept below 30°C, unopened pens are still suitable to use for up to 28 days at room temperature before first use. Move them to the fridge as soon as you can.
Mounjaro: If your pen arrives warmer than fridge temperature, it will still be suitable to use for up to 30 days after the date of dispatch, provided it's been kept below 30°C.
Will my delivery fit through my letterbox?
Neither Wegovy nor Mounjaro deliveries will fit through a standard letterbox.
While the new unchilled Wegovy delivery box is about half the size of our previous packaging, the dimensions of the medication boxes themselves mean it still won't fit through a letterbox. Mounjaro deliveries continue to arrive in cold-chain packaging, which is also too large for a letterbox.
