Eli Lilly, the manufacturer of the weight loss medication Mounjaro, has announced a price increase of around £80 per dose. This will come into place across the UK on
Monday 1st September 2025.
Lilly has explained that the reason for the price increase is to align UK prices with Europe, as the UK’s prices were set significantly lower than its European counterparts.

How much notice will I get?
We’ll do our best to give you at least 7 days’ notice via an ‘upcoming order’ notification so you have time to review your next order. Situations may arise where prices need to change more quickly if market conditions shift, but we’ll always let you know as soon as possible.
What medications will be affected by price increases?
The price increase only affects Mounjaro, and the price of each dose will increase. Wegovy and any other weight loss treatments we offer will not be impacted.
Can I buy multiple Mounjaro pens now?
Patients cannot currently buy more than one Mounjaro pen from Numan per month. This ensures that patients can take their medication according to their prescribed dosing schedule and is a matter of clinical safety.
I really want to stick to my programme. Is there any support in place to help existing patients?
There will be, yes. We will release more information about support for existing Numan patients soon.
Is it possible to switch from Mounjaro to Wegovy?
Yes – requesting a medication switch is a simple process. If you'd like to request to change to Wegovy, you can complete this short request form. Once you have, a member of our clinical team will review your request and, if it’s accepted, you’ll receive an email to confirm your new order and check-out.
Is switching to something like Wegovy appropriate for me, and would it cost less?
A Numan clinician will review your request to switch in order to ensure that it is safe and appropriate for you. All patients who switch to Wegovy will start at the lowest dose of 0.25mg in order to mitigate the risk of side effects. This may initially slow down your weight loss progress, but it’s important to ensure that this new treatment is safe for you.
