Wegovy
As of April 2026, Wegovy no longer requires cold-chain delivery in the UK. The MHRA has approved updated product information confirming that Wegovy can be transported at temperatures up to 30°C for up to 48 hours. The medication itself hasn't changed, only the delivery rules have. During warmer weather in the UK, we may still send Wegovy with chilled packaging as an extra precaution.
Once your delivery arrives, put your unopened pen(s) in the fridge between 2°C and 8°C as soon as possible and keep them away from the cooling element at the back. Alternatively, unopened pens can be stored at room temperature below 30°C for up to 28 days before first use.
Do not freeze the medication, and do not use a pen if it has been frozen, even if it looks fine after thawing.
After the pen has been used, you can continue to store it in the fridge or keep it in a protected, dark environment below 30°C. Use it within 6 weeks of first use.
Mounjaro
Mounjaro still requires cold-chain delivery, so your orders will continue to arrive with cool packaging.
Before first use, keep it in a fridge and away from the cooling element. Do not freeze it or use it if it has been frozen.
After the pen has been used, you can continue to store it in the fridge or in a protected, dark environment below 30°C.
In the unlikely event that the pen has not been stored in a fridge before first use, it will still be suitable to use provided it has been stored below 30°C. Dispose of the pen 30 days after removal from fridge storage, or if its expiry date has passed.
Why didn't I receive an ice pack with my Wegovy order?
If your Wegovy arrived without an ice pack or cool packaging, don't worry. This is intentional and your medication is still safe and effective. In April 2026, the MHRA approved delivery of Wegovy FlexTouch pens at temperatures up to 30°C for up to 48 hours, making Wegovy the first GLP-1 weight-management treatment in the UK approved for delivery without strict cold-chain requirements.
During warmer weather, we may still send Wegovy with chilled packaging as an added precaution. This change doesn't apply to Mounjaro, which will continue to arrive in cool packaging year-round.
My injection pens aren't cold any more. Can I still use them?
Wegovy: Your pen can withstand temperatures up to 30°C for up to 48 hours in transit. Once it arrives, store it in the fridge as soon as possible, or keep it at room temperature below 30°C for up to 28 days before first use.
Mounjaro: If your pen has not been stored in a fridge before first use, it will still be suitable for up to 30 days after dispatch, provided it has been kept below 30°C.

Do I have to store my injection pens in the fridge?
Your unopened pen will remain safe to use in the fridge until its expiry date. Once opened:
Wegovy should not be used more than 6 weeks after the date of first use.
Mounjaro should not be used more than 30 days after the date of first use.
My injection pens have been at my neighbour's for a few days. Can I still use them?
Wegovy: Provided the pen has been kept below 30°C, unopened pens are suitable for up to 28 days at room temperature before first use. Move them to the fridge as soon as possible.
Mounjaro: If your pen arrives warmer than fridge temperature, it will remain suitable for up to 30 days after dispatch, provided it has been kept below 30°C.
Will my delivery fit through my letterbox?
Neither Wegovy nor Mounjaro deliveries fit through a standard letterbox.
Although the new unchilled Wegovy delivery box is about half the size of the previous packaging, the medication boxes still won’t fit. Mounjaro deliveries continue to arrive in cold-chain packaging, which is also too large.
Please ensure someone is available to receive your delivery or designate a safe place with the courier.
